www.jaa.nlPilots holding an Icelandic national pilot licence (ICAO licence) can have it replaced with a JAR-FCL licence in accordance with the requirements in Appendix 1 to JAR-FCL 1.005, depending mostly on flying experience. Pilots holding a national licence issued by another JAA member state must have the national licence replaced with JAR-FCL licence in the state of the national licence issue.
Holders of any instructor ratings must have their national licence replaced with a JAR-FCL licence to be able to excercise the priviliges of the rating. Otherwise the instructor rating will become invalid after 31 March 2010.
